This is some of the worst #socialmedia  news I've heard in a while.

In the days of NN 1.0 we thought animated gifs were all the rage because, let's face it, there wasn't enough bandwidth to serve real animations or videos. 

After a while though, they became as annoying as the .gif below.

So now for some reason, the gif89a is back and not only is Facebook going to allow the Candy Crushers to post animated gifs but soon enough, advertisers will too.

I can't imagine I'll be spending much time surfing my Facebook feed once this happens – not that I do now.
